Cinema Under the Stars – “Grease”: Celebrate the ‘50s with a singalong to the movie. Summer nights are even better when sitting outside watching movies with family and friends. Pack your blankets for a night of fun! Food vendors will have a variety of picnic-style dinner options for purchase from 6 to 9 p.m. A la carte beer and wine will be available for purchase from 7 to 10 p.m. Due to Virginia ABC regulations, guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol onto the campus. During Family Fun Hour (7:30 to 8:30 p.m.) there will be music, trivia contests, door prizes for costumes (wear your ‘50s finest) and games available to play. Summer Solstice Campfire : Join naturalists at the campfire to hear stories of summer solstice traditions and stars while roasting marshmallows over the embers. Ballroom Social Dance: Put on your dancing shoes and join the monthly Ballroom Social Dance featuring complimentary refreshments and a cash bar. All skill levels welcome. Father’s Day Cruises: Treat Dad to a special day at Lake Accotink Park! Spot soaring eagles and sunbathing turtles while enjoying a 30-minute cruise aboard the tour boat. Cruise times are 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Lake Accotink Park. Reservations required. Treat Dad to a delicious lunch and get your toes tapping to music reminiscent of the heyday of these classic automobiles.
