Three to See: Live music around Sacramento

April Verch’s upbringing in Ottawa Valley, Canada, is described as a “melting pot of Franco-Celtic flavors brought by the hard-working loggers who settled the area.” By no means does this saccharine-voiced singer herself resemble a logger, but her music is indeed that of the jovial celebration that would inevitably follow a long day of swinging the axe. Verch has released nine albums of playful and old-timey country folk, anchored by her frenetic fiddling and flanked by her equally awe-inspiring step-dancing skills. 965 Orchard Creek Lane, Lincoln. $20.
